PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement)

Known for a creating a lower carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption and pollution, Portland Pozzolana Cement is also lighter economically.

A variation of the OPC, the PPC or the Portland Pozzolana cement is made out of a pozzolanic material responsible for increasing the strength of concrete. Enhancing the strength also helps in keeping the amount of OPC low. The cement is a mixture of OPC Clinker, Gypsum, Pozzolanic material in diverse proportions. Fly ash, volcanic ash, calcined clay or silica fumes are some of the pozzolanic materials which are added in a range of 15 – 25% by cement weight.

OPC (Ordinary Pozzolana Cement)

Most commonly used cement worldwide, it’s almost present in every brick and mortar construction.

Manufactured by grinding a mixture of limestone at 1400 Celsius, the preliminary stage of the cement is called Clinker which is then mixed with gypsum and it’s grinded. This forms cement, which is generally available in three grades – OPC 33 grade, OPC 43 grade and OPC 53 grade.
